Location History
Rathdrum, just 10 minutes north of Post Falls, offers small-town living at it's best. Anchored on the edge of the Rathdrum Prairie and nestled in the shadow of beautiful Rathdrum Peak, the city has a real "neighborhood" feel yet is just minutes from big-city amenities. Rathdrum, named after a small town in Ireland which was the birthplace of one of the early residents, was the original county seat for Kootenai county. Today with residential and commercial development on a well planned expansion plan, excellent schools and services, Rathdrum is one of the fastest growing communities in the area. Our beautiful corner of the county.
